Our story

In 1987, Paul Claffey decided to follow his dream. 33 years later, Claffey Pools is in its 4th decade of business with over 10,000 pools under its belt. We’ve built a reputation for our craftsmanship, for our commitment to our customers, and for our lovingly-built pools – we’re ranked #3 in the United States by Pool and Spa News. Our 90-strong team includes eight father-and-son combinations, four husband-and-wife combinations, and one mother-daughter combination – the term ‘family business’ has never been more appropriate.

Underpinned by our faith, we transmit our values of integrity, honesty and loyalty through every project we undertake, from the smallest pool to the biggest. We’re industry leaders – our team was the first to be trained in the International Pool and Spa Code, and we’ve been nominated to represent our industry for the International Code Council, and the Pool and Hot Tub Association.
