Pool Replastering
Over time, it’s normal for your backyard pool to suffer from a bit of wear and tear.
And, as a pool’s surface is frequently exposed to water, chemicals and all manner of weather conditions, pool replastering as part of our pool remodeling services may sometimes be necessary.
Swimming pool replastering may remove some of your pool’s surface layer due to delaminating that takes place after the pool is drained for assessment. If delamination has not happened, then the bond coat will be applied over the existing surface to give the new plaster something to adhere to. A full replacement will take place if the top layer needs to be chipped away. The pool replastering process is the best way to restore your pool to its former glory and original condition, and it is a service that Claffey Pools is proud to offer to our customers in Southlake, Colleyville, and Coppell, Texas.
Replastering a pool utilises two different methods:
- If your surface has holes or uneven areas, re-plastering will involve chipping or blasting away the existing surface before a new one is installed.
- If your surface is even and the appearance needs a refresh, the top coat and plaster are applied without chipping the old away.
