The pool’s unique, modern shape was carefully designed to preserve an existing oak tree and fit seamlessly into the compact space. Light-colored limestone and tile were chosen to match the home’s stucco, while black pool finishes echoed the house’s accents. Water feature walls were strategically placed to manage the property’s grade and create focal points for views from both the family room and master bedroom. A finger ledge on the raised back wall provides safety and a convenient spot to rest a drink, while the reflective spa, flush with the middle terrace, offers uninterrupted views. To enhance accessibility, part of the lower wall was removed to add steps to the lowest level, which also facilitated plumbing connections. Finally, turf was added to the terraced patios to introduce greenery, blending with the plantings that soften the space’s edges. The result is a visually striking and functionally unique design that fully maximizes the challenging site.
