This modern mediterranean backyard is sleek with its white travertine up against the black interior pool finish. The tile was carefully selected to match the interior to give a seamless look to this stunning perimeter overflow pool with negative edge. When delivering the custom fiberglass underground tank, the truck couldn’t make it down the street with all of the many construction vehicles parked along the street, along with the tight space. The giant truck had to hold up traffic on a main busy road in the heart of Dallas and my project manager had to walk along side of this giant tank as it was hoisted up and swung from side to side making its way down the road. The impatience of nearby drivers increased to the point that one woman drove her vehicle full speed to pass the swinging tank and her mirrors missed hitting our project manager by inches. The customer wanted a very simple elegant pool that did not distract from the architecture of the house and that flowed from the back patio as on cohesive unit onto the rear covered pool house. They wanted seating areas for gathering and that was accomplished by having an elevation change off of the back negative edge and incorporating a large seating area around the firepit.
