Winding River Straight-line Clean Beauty

With a completely blank and empty backyard, the goal for this project was to create an elegant and traditional pool project that also brought in a contemporary style to make this pool a true extension of the house. The client fell in love with the battered slate water feature and we wanted to make that feature unique in scale by extending it the entire length of the pool. Along with having the strong visual backdrop of the battered slate water wall we also wanted to balance the pool on both ends with a perimeter overflow spa on the right and a fire pit with seat wall feature on the left end. To complete things we made the decking as symmetrical as possible with large pads of pavers around the pool and synthetic turf strips in between. This created a strong axis of symmetry down the center line of the pool to both the spa and fire pit along with centering the entire pool on the covered patio of the house. All of these details of alignment, water features, scale and balance of the project allowed us to create some that is timeless and breathtakingly beautiful.
